Job description

Responsibilities:

As Building Services Manager, you will work within our Mechanical, Electrical, and Technology team, leading the design and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in buildings and structures. Your role involves ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainable design principles, demonstrating technical expertise, project management, and leadership skills.

Your daily tasks include:

• Leading the design process for all building services, ensuring integration and performance of MEP systems, and overseeing project execution within time and budget constraints.
• Managing and mentoring a team of engineers and designers, and liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Ensuring all designs meet relevant codes, regulations, industry standards, and company procedures, while promoting sustainable solutions.
• Resolving technical and logistical challenges during design and construction phases.
• Providing strategic direction to grow the team and establish effective work-winning relationships, maintaining high staff utilization.

Candidate requirements:

This role is ideal if you:

• Are a Chartered Engineer and a member of CIBSE or IET, with a degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
• Have significant experience demonstrating your ability to fulfill role responsibilities, with high-level knowledge of industry-standard design software such as Cymap, Amtech, NBS, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and PowerBI for design process optimization.
• Have experience managing a multi-disciplinary technical team and driving sustainable performance against business targets.
