Building Services Engineering Apprentice

Our teams of architects, engineers, analysts, and designers help clients realize smarter and more efficient solutions. Our core specialisms include mechanical, electrical, public health, environmental, lighting, vertical transport, and fire engineering, all working seamlessly within the building structure to create places that fulfill their potential.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Progressing towards becoming a Chartered Engineer
  • Producing basic calculations manually and using technical software
  • Understanding British Standards and knowing when and where to refer to them
  • Familiarity with company standards and procedures
  • Awareness of Health & Safety in construction, aiming to gain CSCS card for site access
  • Participating in site visits to understand design production
  • Maintaining well-documented project files and correspondence
  • Understanding project programmes and reading drawings
  • Using 2D and 3D software for system design
  • Developing understanding of BREEAM and SKA standards relevant to your discipline
Building Physics and Low Zero Carbon Technologies
  • Assisting with Building Physics calculations such as Dynamic Thermal Simulation, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Daylight Modelling
  • Understanding Low and Zero Carbon Technologies and their applications
Educational Details
  • Degree Level 6 Apprenticeship in Building Services Design Engineering
  • Partnership with London South Bank University
  • One day per week day release during term time
Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 09:00 - 17:30 and Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.
