A leading company in the railway sector seeks a Building Services Engineer (M&E) to join their Civil Engineering team. The role involves providing technical expertise, collaborating with various stakeholders, and contributing to asset management and regulatory challenges. Engineering provides the infrastructure of the railway. We are concerned about the long–term operation, maintenance, renewal, and enhancement of Engineering Assets. We support our Operations, Economic and Safety colleagues in assuring a safe, economic, and reliable railway.
The post holder will work in the Railway Planning and Performance (RPP) Directorate within the Civil Engineering team.
We are seeking a Building Services Engineer (M&E) to provide specialist expertise. The role involves collaboration with civil engineers and other teams across ORR, including safety inspectors, economists, and railway operations.
Our collaboration with Network Rail aims to adopt best practices in engineering and asset management, utilizing data to inform maintenance and renewal decisions over the asset lifecycle. Our goal is to enhance network resilience, performance, efficiency, safety, and customer service, delivering value for taxpayers.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in asset management, safety, and economic regulation, contributing to important challenges and corporate objectives.
Degree in Engineering or Science.
Chartered or progressing toward Chartered Membership of an engineering or equivalent institution.
