Job description

Mitie is currently seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to manage the maintenance of plant rooms and HVAC systems at Heathrow Airport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage plant rooms and HVAC systems to high standards.
• Complete all planned maintenance tasks on time and to a high standard.
• Identify and report defects, keeping the client informed.
• Troubleshoot and understand building management systems (BMS), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Air Handling Units (AHUs), VRF, and VRV systems.
• Mechanical plumbing experience is a plus.
• Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergencies as needed.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance or facilities management, with the following qualifications and skills:

• C&G Level 3 Heating & Ventilation
• Mechanical Engineering qualifications
• Experience with Building Management Systems
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems, VAV, AHU, chillers, FCU, and split units
• Basic plumbing skills
• F-GAS certification
• Valid driving license
• Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and Permits to Work
• Ability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights, and in confined spaces
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate a mobile device effectively
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
