Job description

Job Title: Building Services Engineer

Reports to: Contracts Manager and MDs

Location: London SE1/ SW11 (Vauxhall, Nine Elms, Battersea)

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Services Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on high–end residential apartment buildings, ensuring the maintenance and repair of various systems. If you have a strong background in electrical installations, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical installations and repairs (18th or 19th edition).
  • Undertake site–specific PPMs for high–end residential apartment buildings.
  • Maintain and repair heat, cooling, and water networks (LTHW, CHW, BCWS), including HIU pumps, pressurisation units, expansion bellows, booster pumps, fan control units, actuators, and air handling units.
  • Monitor BMS systems.
  • Identify, report, and resolve critical equipment defects to site management.
  • Provide emergency response for essential equipment breakdowns.
  • Liaise with sub–contractors.
  • Detect and rectify leaks.
  • Perform general plumbing and pipework tasks.
  • Maintain good customer relations as part of the role involves dealing with end–user clients.
  • Demonstrate problem–solving and fault–finding abilities.
  • Complete task sheets using the in–house admin system (Job Logic).
  • Pasma and Gas Safe certifications are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Qualified in Electrical or mechanical or time served with 18th or 19th edition

  • Salary range: Up to 55k, depending on experience, plus a work vehicle.
  • Annual leave: 24 days (3 to be taken at Christmas) plus Bank Holidays.
