Job description

Building Services Engineer - Edinburgh Gyle - Salary up to £38,000

CBW has a new opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to join a leading facilities provider. The role involves covering a large commercial site at Edinburgh Gyle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and life safety systems (including some building fabric maintenance and repair).
  • Complete reactive works promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to all health & safety compliance, maintaining safe working practices.
  • Monitor and respond to site BMS systems.
  • Maintain accurate stock control and reporting.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (pool van provided).
Person Specification:
  • Full driving license required.
  • Formal apprenticeship and trade qualifications in a technical field, electrical bias preferred.
  • At least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Experience with large-scale mechanical and electrical plant in a modern commercial setting.
  • Experience with HVAC plant, UPS systems, LTHW & chilled water systems, low voltage distribution networks, BMS, and Legionella control (L8).
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Qualified to 18th Edition.
