Job Title: Critical Compliance Engineer

The Critical Compliance Engineer is a key role within the CBRE engineering team, responsible for maintaining environmental conditions within client parameters, identifying and escalating alarms, and supporting compliance and safety strategies.

Role Summary
  1. Compliance
    • Ensure swift remedy of plant faults and defects.
    • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) for critical alarms.
    • Develop relationships with staff, subcontractors, and clients.
    • Submit weekly reports on anomalies and environmental occurrences.
    • Collaborate with the client’s data analyst.
    • Maintain professional image and ensure task completion with health and safety compliance.
    • Meet contractual KPIs and SLAs.
  2. Critical/BMS
    • Monitor environmental data across premises.
    • Report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
    • Lead QHSE initiatives and provide guidance on health, safety, environment, and quality.
    • Manage CAFM system and ensure risk register updates.
    • Conduct QHSE audits and coordinate with safety champions.
    • Review policies and maintain Elogbooks system.
Experience Required
  • Essential: M&E engineering experience, preferably in critical environments.
  • Training in electrical, mechanical, or BMS systems.
  • Knowledge of building services, diagnostics, repair procedures, and BMS interpretation.
  • Strong English skills and formal management qualifications in Health and Safety and Environmental management.
  • IT skills, BMS operation experience, and mechanical/electrical maintenance knowledge.
  • Experience in auditing, liaising with enforcement agencies, risk management, and event investigation.
  • Ability to read and program BMS systems.
