Building Safety Manager

The role:

The Building Safety Manager is responsible for:

  • Taking responsibility for and cooperating with the Principal Responsible Person and Responsible Persons regarding overall building safety by coordinating and assuring all building-related activities to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and related statutory and internal safety management requirements across the Council's housing stock.
  • Coordinating access to quality information related to the development and maintenance of the Building Safety Case, Safety Case Reports, and Building Assurance Certificates for high-rise buildings.
  • Supporting stakeholder training needs related to building safety compliance.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of relevant Building Safety Legislation (Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, Duty of Care).
  • Experience managing building safety compliance within social housing.
  • Formal safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Level 3 or equivalent).
