Job description

Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Building Safety Manager to work with one of our Housing Association clients in Kent

What the job will be doing

  • Independently minded, whilst always following best practice procedures and exercising good judgement and initiative in problem solving.
  • Will be able to interrogate information from various sources and collate comprehensive reports.
  • Proficient in disseminating data from as built documents and drawings.
  • Skilled in the review of Fire Risk Assessments and good knowledge of Approved Document B.
  • Able to create reports on safety of buildings.
  • Able to work to tight guidelines and targets.
  • Proficient at working in a variety of complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to be able to communicate with professional surveyors/ engineers when carrying building investigations or when developing strategies
  • Understanding of structural safety and design.

What you will need

  • Qualification in construction, maintenance or related discipline.
  • Relevant qualification in fire safety management or an asset compliance discipline
  • NEBOSH General Certificate/Diploma
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
  • A relevant level 3 or above Fire Safety qualification accredited by the IFE or IFSM or equivalent
