We're excited to recruit for this role at Golding and appoint a Building Safety Lead.
You'll manage Golding Homes’ approach to fulfilling the requirements of the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Regulations, as well as wider health and safety legislation related to building safety, ensuring the safety of our customers in their homes. You'll also act as the Building Safety Manager.
As the Building Safety Lead, you will establish control measures to ensure that key decision gateways are effectively integrated throughout the lifecycle of buildings within our housing stock, focusing on building and fire safety.
You’ll be responsible for developing Building Safety Cases for our housing stock and making evidence available for customers. You’ll also ensure our customers have a voice in reporting safety concerns, identifying improvements and lessons learned, and developing swift feedback methods.
We’re looking for someone with a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and Diploma (or equivalent). Ideally, you'll be a Chartered Member of IOSH. A Building Safety Management qualification is desirable.
With experience in a similar managerial role, you'll have experience of driving Building Safety standards and performance across operations, as well as hands-on, relevant industry experience and knowledge of the construction industry or repairs & maintenance.
You will have a demonstrable track record of creating and implementing innovative Building Safety strategies that have significantly enhanced business. You'll have a pragmatic and proactive approach to building safety, with the ability to build strong relationships to influence and engage at all levels of the business to deliver a strong safety culture.
A full UK driving license is required, as you will be expected to be an active presence on site and office locations that Golding Homes owns and manages.
You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of £58,477, dependent on your knowledge, skills, and experience.
