We're excited to recruit for this role at Golding and appoint a Building Safety Lead.

What you'll be doing

You'll manage Golding Homes’ approach to fulfilling the requirements of the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Regulations, as well as wider health and safety legislation related to building safety, ensuring the safety of our customers in their homes. You'll also act as the Building Safety Manager.

As the Building Safety Lead, you will establish control measures to ensure that key decision gateways are effectively integrated throughout the lifecycle of buildings within our housing stock, focusing on building and fire safety.

You’ll be responsible for developing Building Safety Cases for our housing stock and making evidence available for customers. You’ll also ensure our customers have a voice in reporting safety concerns, identifying improvements and lessons learned, and developing swift feedback methods.

More about you. What can you bring?

We’re looking for someone with a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and Diploma (or equivalent). Ideally, you'll be a Chartered Member of IOSH. A Building Safety Management qualification is desirable.

With experience in a similar managerial role, you'll have experience of driving Building Safety standards and performance across operations, as well as hands-on, relevant industry experience and knowledge of the construction industry or repairs & maintenance.

You will have a demonstrable track record of creating and implementing innovative Building Safety strategies that have significantly enhanced business. You'll have a pragmatic and proactive approach to building safety, with the ability to build strong relationships to influence and engage at all levels of the business to deliver a strong safety culture.

A full UK driving license is required, as you will be expected to be an active presence on site and office locations that Golding Homes owns and manages.

When and where you'll be doing it

You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of £58,477, dependent on your knowledge, skills, and experience.

Our Hub, Home, Roam approach allows you to work from wherever suits you best, whilst also having a central workspace to collaborate and come together. Our head office is in central Maidstone and is a modern, bright space that inspires creativity and innovation.

What will you get in return?

Creating an environment that enables our people to thrive is crucial for us, and our Total Reward package goes beyond your salary, designed to support you throughout your working life here.

You’ll get:

  • 28 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays)
  • Company pension contribution and life assurance
  • Flexible benefits including health cash plan, additional holiday purchase, cycle to work scheme, onsite gym, retail discounts, and more.

We understand that people process information in different ways. Please get in touch if you would like some support with your application.

Closing date: 3rd July 2025
