Building Safety Engagement Manager

This is a national role, hybrid working 2 days office-based anywhere in the UK per week with occasional travel.

Permanent, full-time (37.5 hpw)

Earn circa £50,000 pa, negotiable based on skills and experience, plus benefits including health cash plan!

Join us as our new Building Safety Engagement Manager. If you love connecting with others, care about doing things the right way, and want a role that truly matters, this could be your next step. You'll be part of our Building Safety Team, engaging directly with our customers—listening to their concerns, sharing updates, and ensuring they feel informed, included, and safe in their homes.

This is a new role with the freedom to shape how things are done. You’ll manage your own schedule, visit neighborhoods, and coordinate between technical teams and customers. Your role will involve translating complex safety information into simple conversations, helping everyone understand what’s happening and why it matters. You’ll be vital in ensuring safety and reassurance for our residents.

What you’ll do

  • Meet customers and gather feedback to help shape safer homes
  • Translate complex information into clear, simple updates
  • Plan and run community events, meetings, and walkabouts
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure honest and coordinated engagement
  • Participate in handovers of new homes, ensuring safety records are accurate
  • Log all feedback and activities clearly to inform decision-making

What you bring

  • Experience in engagement, community work, or similar people-first roles
  • Ability to explain complex topics simply and clearly

  • Knowledge of building or fire safety, or a curiosity to learn
  • Strong record-keeping skills to meet legal safety requirements
  • A team-oriented mindset with confidence to work across departments

Job details

  • Work Monday to Friday
  • Manage your own diary, with flexible lunch and working hours to suit customer needs, including occasional evenings
  • This is a hybrid role, combining days out and in our offices or working from home
  • Must have a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage paid
  • Enhanced DBS check required, paid for by us
