About

Building Safety Engagement Manager

This is a national role, hybrid working 2 days in the office anywhere in the UK per week with occasional travel.

Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Earn circa £50,000, negotiable based on skills and experience, plus benefits including a health cash plan.

Become our new Building Safety Engagement Manager. If you love connecting with others, care about doing things the right way, and want a role that truly matters, this could be your next step. You will join our Building Safety Team, focusing on our customers by listening to their concerns, sharing updates, and ensuring they feel informed, included, and safe in their homes.

This is a new role with the freedom to shape how things are done. You will manage your own diary, engage with communities, and coordinate between technical teams and residents. Your role involves translating complex safety information into simple, understandable conversations, ensuring everyone understands what is happening and why it matters. You will be at the heart of ensuring people are not just safe but also feel safe.

What you'll do
  1. Meet customers and gather feedback to help shape safer homes.
  2. Convert complex information into clear, simple updates.
  3. Plan and run engaging events, meetings, and walkabouts.
  4. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure honest and coordinated engagement.
  5. Participate in handovers of new homes, ensuring safety records are accurate.
  6. Log all feedback and activities clearly to inform decision-making.

What you bring
  1. Experience in engagement, community work, or similar roles focused on people.
  2. Ability to explain complex topics simply and clearly.

  4. Knowledge of building or fire safety, or a willingness to learn.
  5. Strong record-keeping skills to meet legal safety duties.
  6. A team mindset with confidence to work across departments.

Job details
  • Work Monday to Friday.
  • Manage your own diary, with flexible hours for longer lunches.
  • Occasional evening work to meet with customers.
  • Hybrid role: some days in the office or out and about, others working from home.
  • Must have a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage paid.
  • Enhanced DBS check required; we pay for this.
