Brandon James is seeking a Building Regulations Principal Designer to join its growing Building Safety team in Birmingham, advising clients and supporting design teams on the Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022.

You will coordinate compliance throughout the design process, liaise with architects, engineers and Building Control, and contribute to site inspections and technical reports. Hybrid working and excellent CPD opportunities are on offer.

Qualifikationen

• Experience delivering Building Regulations Principal Designer services.
• Background in Building Control, Architecture or Building Surveying.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Approved Documents.
• Understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022.
• Experience reviewing designs for regulatory compliance.
• Experience across multiple construction projects.
• Membership of RICS, CABE, CIOB or another relevant professional body.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

• Coordinate Building Regulations compliance across design teams.
• Advise clients on duties under the Building Safety Act 2022.
• Review design information for compliance with regs.
• Undertake compliance audits and design reviews.
• Support approval applications and Gateway submissions.
• Liaise with clients, designers and Building Control Bodies.
• Identify gaps and propose compliant solutions.
• Attend design team meetings and site inspections.
• Prepare technical compliance reports and documentation.
• Support the Building Safety team with guidance.
