Brandon James Limited is seeking a Senior Building Regulations Principal Designer to join its Bristol-based Building Safety team. You will lead regulatory compliance across multiple projects, advise clients on Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022, and coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure design conformity.

Qualifications

• The candidate has strong experience delivering Building Regulations Principal Designer or building safety consultancy services.
• Experience reviewing design information for regulatory compliance and assisting with Gateway applications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Leading Building Regulations Principal Designer commissions
• Advising clients on Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022
• Undertaking technical design reviews and compliance assessments
• Reviewing Building Regulations approval submissions and identifying information gaps
• Supporting Higher-Risk Building projects and Gateway applications
• Coordinating with Architects, Engineers and wider design teams
• Conducting Building Regulations compliance audits
• Preparing technical reports and maintaining compliance documentation
• Attending client meetings and carrying out site inspections
• Providing technical guidance to junior consultants
• Supporting the continued development of the Building Safety service
