Are you ready to drive sustainable design as a Building Physics Engineer?

Our client is looking for a passionate and skilled Building Physics Engineer to join their growing team in Bristol. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the full scope of building performance design-from early-stage modelling to energy assessments and sustainability strategy-on a wide range of impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

·Carry out dynamic thermal modelling, overheating assessments, and energy analysis (IESVE)
·Undertake SBEM calculations and EPC assessments as a qualified Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA)
·Contribute to sustainability strategies and support BREEAM assessments (ENE 01, HEA credits etc.)
·Provide design guidance on daylighting, natural ventilation, and thermal comfort
·Collaborate closely with MEP design engineers and sustainability consultants
·Prepare clear reports and present results to clients and design teams
·Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidelines

What They're Looking For:

·Degree-qualified in Building Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Design or similar
·Experience working in building services or sustainability consultancy
·Qualified NDEA (Level 4 or above)
·Skilled in IES VE and/or other relevant simulation tools
·Understanding of BREEAM requirements, especially energy and comfort-related credits
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·A proactive, detail-focused approach and genuine passion for sustainable design
