Job summary

CETEC in London seeks a Building Performance Consultant with hands-on field experience to join our team. You will conduct environmental assessments, building performance testing, and produce technical reports feeding into WELL, BREEAM, and LEED certification pathways.

Formal accreditation and specialist training will be provided on top of your existing expertise as you work on landmark domestic and international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Science, Engineering, Architectural Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on field, lab, or site-based technical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sharp attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including technical reporting.
• Bonus if experience with BREEAM Hea05 Acoustics, IWBI WELL or NABERS.

Responsibilities

• Field Testing & Diagnostics: Conduct testing, building inspections, and on-site data collection.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare technical reports, interpret data, and support senior consultants in delivering client-ready analysis.
• Project Delivery: Support project delivery through technical reporting, client liaison, and solution implementation.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and team members to achieve project goals.
• Specialist Accreditation: Formal training in air tightness testing, building performance and sustainability/certification frameworks.
• Develop skills: Gain specialised training in sustainability ratings, environmental health, IAQ, occupational hygiene and building diagnostics.

CETEC is seeking a Building Performance Consultant to join our London team, someone who has already spent time on site collecting data, running tests, or working hands-on in a technical field role, and wants to specialise in building performance.

You’ll work on landmark domestic and international projects, running environmental assessments, building performance testing, and technical reporting that feeds into certification pathways like WELL, BREEAM, and LEED.
