Job summary

Abbatt Property Recruitment is partnering with a large, high-end residential development in Portsmouth to recruit a Building Manager. This hands-on role covers day-to-day running, maintenance, contractor and resident management, and on-site staff supervision.

The successful candidate will take ownership, be confident under pressure, and come from a facilities, operations, or property management background. Residential experience isn’t essential, and a portfolio of relevant projects is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in Building/Property Management or Facilities Management.
• Strong contractor management and budgeting skills.
• Proven team leadership and resident communications.
• On-site five-day-a-week availability in Portsmouth.

Building Manager

Portsmouth £45,000 + Benefits

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm 5 days on site

We're working with a well-established property management company to recruit a Building Manager for a large, high-end residential development in Portsmouth.

This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the development, managing everything from maintenance and contractors to residents and on-site staff.

No residential property experience? No problem.

We're particularly interested in candidates from military, emergency services, facilities management or operational backgrounds

The role?

You’ll be responsible for:

• Day-to-day building management
• Planned & reactive maintenance
• Contractor & compliance management
• Building inspections & site standards
• Leading the on-site team
• Resident communication & complaints
• Maintenance budgets & spend
• Coordinating works & resident updates
• Resident & director meetings
