The Role

Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of two civic buildings, ensuring they remain welcoming, compliant and fit for purpose for staff, visitors, hirers and event attendees.

You will lead a small facilities team, manage contractors and maintenance programmes, and provide operational support for the buildings' busy calendar of dry hire events. Flexibility is essential, as occasional evening and weekend working will be required to support events and operational needs.

  • Manage facilities budgets and monitor expenditure.
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained across both sites.
  • Assist with building opening, closing and event support arrangements when required.
  • Participate in out‑of‑hours working, including evenings and weekends, to support events and operational requirements.
