Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for an experienced Site Facilities Manager in Bath to take ownership of a complex, multi-site educational estate. The role focuses on ensuring buildings, facilities and compliance standards are maintained at a high level while supporting future estate development and investment projects.

You will lead day-to-day operations, manage maintenance programmes, supervise site teams and external contractors, and ensure health and safety compliance across the estate.

Qualifications

• Proven facilities or site management experience.
• Experience managing teams and external contractors.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of site operations across multiple locations.
• Develop and oversee planned and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Manage and support site and housekeeping teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety and statutory requirements.
• Oversee contractor selection, induction, performance and quality standards.
• Manage security, access control and emergency response arrangements.
• Support capital projects from planning through to completion.
• Maintain accurate records for fire safety, water hygiene, electrical compliance and asset management.
• Analyse maintenance data to identify trends and future investment requirements.
• Contribute to long-term estate planning and budgeting activities.
• Drive efficiencies and identify cost-saving opportunities across the estate.

The Site Facilities Manager will:

Profile

A successful Site Facilities Manager should have:

• Proven facilities, estates or site management experience.
• Experience managing teams and external contractors.
• Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, planned maintenance and property services.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within a busy and demanding operational environment within real estate and property.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to urgent issues.
• Strong IT and reporting capabilities.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or a similar health & safety qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.

Job Offer

• Salary between £44,000 and £48,000, dependent on the level of experience.
