Job Description:

Engineering Supervisor

The Role

As the post holder, you will be expected to have an extensive understanding of Building Services Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & associated assets). You will lead the engineering team, responsible for inspection, operation, and maintenance of assets within a critical facility, focusing on service quality through effective leadership and customer service.

You will ensure safe, professional conduct of personnel and attend site meetings with or on behalf of the client. Promote a safety-first culture, leading by example with your knowledge of safe systems of work and compliance.

Key Tasks - Duties include:

  • Supervision and support of the engineering team.
  • Providing technical reports and improvement recommendations.
  • Managing all activities related to the operation of building systems and assets, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Planning and supporting vendor works, with proper change management approval.
  • Ensuring SLAs are met by the team and vendors.
  • Using the Corrigo CMMS system to manage work orders and monitor progress.
  • Reporting on system availability and risks daily.
  • Completing daily reports and incident reviews.
  • Managing planned maintenance in line with OEM/SFG20/NGM standards.
  • Escalating equipment issues promptly.
  • Reviewing vendor reports and following up on recommendations.
  • Owning and maintaining areas under control to high standards.
  • Coordinating with supply chain for parts procurement.
  • Training new employees.
  • Handling alarms and critical response tasks.
  • Performing mechanical reactive and corrective tasks.

Personal Specification:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering HNC/HND or apprenticeship
  • C&G Pts. 1 & 2 or equivalent
  • 17th Edition wiring and installation (18th Edition training preferred)
  • IOSH Working Safely or NEBOSH
  • IPAF certification
