The plan emphasizes collaboration with other public-sector organisations to share properties, embed property and estates principles, and provide high-quality facilities and maintenance management across the county.
The Property and Facilities department is seeking a Building Maintenance Supervisor with experience managing on-site technicians to join the team during this exciting development phase. The role involves delivering in-house facilities management in preparation for the upcoming Combined Fire Authority with the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
The successful candidate will manage a team of 8 Building Maintenance Technicians across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Responsibilities include overseeing compliance checks, setting up practical training, and conducting minor repairs across the estate, under the guidance of the Maintenance and Resource Manager and reporting to the Senior Projects and Maintenance Manager.
Applicants should have relevant experience and/or qualifications in team management, with a background in a trade such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Fabric preferred. Experience within a fire and rescue service in a similar role is also advantageous.
