Qualifications

  • Experience delivering excellent maintenance services to customers.

  • Full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 year experience.

Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Building Maintenance Officer to join our team in Gloucester.

This is a part time permanent role working 22.5 hours a week, ideally 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday but we can be flexible.

The starting salary is £16,723 - £19,459 (£27,500 - £32,000 full time equivalent) depending on your experience.

Your role

Our key worker accommodation schemes offer short and long term accommodation for those working for the NHS, fire service or police and others with essential roles.

As a Building Maintenance Officer you'll be responsible for delivering and overseeing basic repairs, planned maintenance and compliance activities for our residents.

You'll be supervising contractors and other maintenance visitors to the site, and helping with team tasks such as reading meters and giving access to properties.

The role includes access to a van and all the tools and uniform are provided.

To be successful in this role you will have

  • A basic knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing
  • Experience delivering excellent maintenance services to customers
  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with customers
  • Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
  • The ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem solving skills

A basic DBS check will be undertaken with the successful candidate.

You must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive.
