Job description

We are currently seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer based at a corporate office building. Working alongside our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall management of the building's infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and safety. This position requires a hands-on approach and a proactive attitude toward building maintenance and engineering services.

As the Building Maintenance Engineer, you will:

  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance of the building engineering services, including heating, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with client specifications, schedules, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building equipment and systems efficiently.
  • Manage repairs and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.
  • Regularly inspect facilities and systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, manage parts inventory, safety inspections, and repair logs via Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
  • Work closely with other maintenance and facilities staff to ensure seamless service operation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Engineering certification in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Proven experience in building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in various conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoors.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Experience working at corporate locations.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software such as Maximo or similar CAFM systems.

We will provide full training upon starting to ensure you have everything needed to excel. Ideally, you will have experience working in a similar environment.
