Job summary

Intersurgical is seeking a proactive Building Maintenance PPM Operative to join the Site Services team in the United Kingdom. You will perform planned maintenance, statutory testing, and general building upkeep to keep facilities safe, compliant, and efficient.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or similar role.
• Knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Good practical maintenance skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills; able to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and statutory compliance testing.
• Conduct weekly fire alarm and fire sprinkler testing, emergency lighting testing, and PAT.
• Perform fire door, ladder, and sump pump inspections; general building and plant room checks.
• Record maintenance activities and compliance checks; report defects.
• Support specialist contractors and ensure work is completed safely in line with Health & Safety procedures.
