Job summary

Apleona UK is seeking a Building Fabric Technician / Handyperson to undertake planned and reactive maintenance at our client premises. You will be proactive, work 40 hours per week, and interact with tenants to ensure service delivery at the highest level.

The ideal candidate will have recognised industry qualifications in mechanical, plumbing or carpentry, broad knowledge of building services, IT literacy, and a valid UK driving license. Training and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Recognised industry qualifications or equivalent training in mechanical / plumbing / carpentry.
• Broad knowledge and experience of building services systems, maintenance management and health and safety procedures.
• IT literate and able to use standard software.
• Valid UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance at client premises.
• Install, maintain and repair fabric systems and components.
• Assist with plumbing, PPM and reactive tasks where required.
• Diagnose issues, select materials, and provide advice to clients and contractors.

In this role asBuilding Fabric Technician / Handyperson, you will undertake the planned and reactive maintenance at our client premises. The Fabric Technician / Handyperson will be hardworking and committed to ensuring the highest standards are adhered to at all times. Be professional and readily interacting with our client / tenants as required.

As ourBuildingFabric Technician / Handyperson, you will Install, maintain and repair fabric systems and components and installing and maintaining a host of different fabric aspects and on occasions assisting with other duties including plumbing PPM and reactive tasks. You will also be diagnosing and correcting problems; selecting appropriate materials and provide advice to clients, contractors and other professionals. You must have basic knowledge of either plumbing or carpentry.

Our Ideal candidate will need to have:

• Recognised industry qualifications, equivalent training programme in either mechanical / plumbing / carpentry. Or previous experience in a similar role.
• Broad knowledge and experience of building services systems, maintenance management and health and safety procedures.
• IT Literate.
• Valid UK Driving license
