- Qualifications: at least a Level 4 Diploma in Building Control, ONC/HNC in Building, a construction-related or building control degree, and/or Membership of RICS or ABE
- Strong knowledge of relevant building legislation and regulations
- Ability to assess plans and drawings accurately
- Experience in site inspections and on-call rota for dangerous structures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Diligent, proactive, with attention to detail
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages
- Full UK/EU Driving Licence
- Experience with Local Authorities
