Building Control Plan Checker (Contract)
Location: Remote
Rate: Circa £50 per hour
Contract Length: 6 months min
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Start Date: Immediate

Confido Consult is proud to be partnering with one of our most highly regarded clients in support of a new contract need.

Due to increased project demand, they are now seeking an experienced Building Control Plan Checker (L2B+ RBI, Registered Building Inspector) to support their team on a fully remote basis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical checking of plans for a range of domestic developments, including extensions, loft conversions and small residential schemes.
2. Ensuring all plans reviewed are compliant with relevant Building Regulations and associated guidance.
3. Communicating effectively with applicants and design teams where clarification or revisions are required.
4. Supporting the wider technical team as needed, with flexibility depending on project demands.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Current or recently held registration at L2B RBI (Registered Building Inspector) or above.
2. Proven experience in a plan checking (plan checker) role, with a strong understanding of domestic residential projects.
3. Able to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
4. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
