Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced and qualified Registered Building Inspectors (Class 3H) to join a high-performing team supporting the delivery of the new regulatory regime. This role plays a crucial part in shaping policy, ensuring compliance, and providing expert technical oversight across building control functions. If you're a qualified 3H Registered Building Inspector with a passion for improving building safety and regulatory compliance, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and review of building control policy, technical standards, and guidance, particularly in relation to building regulations and duty holder compliance.
Provide expert advice to inform regulatory frameworks and operational guidance, especially where building control intersects with:
Gateway decisions
Golden thread information
Occupation stage duties
Deliver specialist building control expertise to multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) involved in:
Gateway 2 applications
Safety Case Report assessments
Investigations and enforcement actions
Support internal and external technical policy teams by offering authoritative input and collaboration as needed.
Qualification Requirement:
Registered Building Inspector – Class 3H (No Flexibility, must meet English qualification requirements)
Essential Requirements:
Registered Building Inspector – Class 3H, as per the new regulatory framework (This includes specific English qualification criteria – no flexibility on this requirement)
Strong working knowledge of the Building Safety Act and associated regulations
Demonstrated experience contributing to technical standards and policy development
Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and remote teams
Eligibility for BPSS clearance
