Data and Administration Manager - Building Control

Location: Crawley
Contract: 4 months (with potential extension)
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Data and Administration Manager to support a busy Building Control team during a period of transition. This temporary role will focus on overseeing the transfer and integration of historic building control records, ensuring accurate data management, and providing effective administrative support to the wider service.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the migration and organisation of historic building control records.
  • Maintain accurate databases, filing systems, and documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to public and stakeholder enquiries.
  • Support statutory compliance, including retention and enforcement documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, reports, and service development.
Requirements
  • Strong administrative and data management experience, ideally in a regulatory or public service environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and confident using data management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and work independently.
Desirable
  • Experience in Building Control or Planning administration.
  • Knowledge of data migration processes and statutory compliance.
  • Familiarity with the Building Safety Act 2022.
