A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Building & Civil Engineering Manager to join their Estates Team. This full-time position involves overseeing building and civil engineering services, ensuring compliance and safety standards. We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Building & Civil Engineering Manager to join our Estates Team on a full-time basis. In this key role, you will be the subject matter expert for the maintenance and compliance of all building and civil engineering services across the Trust, ensuring safety, compliance and maintenance to the highest industry standards.
You'll be providing expert technical advice to the Maintenance and Projects teams, lead on assurance and audits, and develop technical specifications for capital and maintenance projects. You'll also carry out Authorised Person duties for two or more of the following areas: Asbestos, Confined Spaces, and Fire.
The role requires effective communication with internal teams and external partners, the ability to manage procurement processes and contracts, and a strong focus on compliance, health and safety, and accurate record keeping. You'll oversee contractor performance, contribute to statutory reporting, and support engineering assurance activities, including audits and maintenance reviews. You'll lead and develop a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and support the financial and operational delivery of estates and facilities contracts, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business continuity.
