Job summary

A leading global workplace solutions provider is seeking a Building Automation System Engineer responsible for programming oversight and maintenance of building automation systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with BMS systems, preferably Schneider Ecostruxure, and a background in building services qualifications or an apprenticeship. This role involves maintaining a facilities systems management program, ensuring compliance with regulations, and executing repairs and maintenance tasks.

  • 4 to 5 years of job-related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

About the Role

As a Building Automation System Engineer, you will provide programming oversight in the operation and maintenance of all building automation systems to maximise efficiency and minimize costs. You will be required to work alongside Critical shift team to for repairs and maintenance purposes. You should have knowledge and experience for industry standard BMS Systems, preferably Schneider Ecostruxure. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs of equipment and systems.

Role Responsibilities
  • Maintain a total facilities systems management program which includes all the various connected and separate electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety systems that are operational in a facility.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to system operations and work safety.
  • Inspect systems to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieve operational conditions prescribed by the client.
  • Oversee scope development, work request initiation, scheduling, and inspection of work performed by outside contractors, which includes proprietary work, licensed installations, upgrades, and maintenance and inspection of specialised systems.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning assistance as needed.
  • Review assigned work orders. Estimate time, and resources, and order necessary materials to complete all repairs.
  • Perform assigned repairs and emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Complete all required and assigned training at a satisfactory level.
  • Participate in all related programs & activities as required. This includes incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment.
  • Report any conditions which you feel could result in an accident or injury and stop work if required.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.
Role Requirements
  • Building services qualifications or served apprenticeship, BCIA, 18th Edition Wiring Regs 7671 Amendment 2 - 4 to 5 years of job-related experience. Apprenticeship, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Licenses or certifications may be required by local applicable law or ordinance.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Have good Knowledge of industry standard SSOW's
  • Have experience working within critical environments, preferably Data centres
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive
