Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience within procurement, operations, or facility management.
• Experience in setting up procurement strategies in the area of responsibility (Building & Construction category).
• Experience in Building project management.
• People Management skills to lead and motivate the teams.
• Advanced Project Management skills to motivate cross-functional project teams in situations of often conflicting objectives (internal customer, supplier, budget).
• Knowledge about procurement building contracts.
• Strong business analytical skills (e.g. business case studies, financial KPI)

Responsibilities

• Implement the procurement strategy defined by the Commodity Procurement Management and the Projects MFT within the Building & Construction Team and international scope on demand.
• Manage procurement projects and call for tenders with multi-divisional scope.
• Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain capable to deliver goods/services.
• Ensure that deliverables are in line with the contractual terms (cost, time, quality).
• Secure long-term alignment of the supplier base with strategic needs.
• Maintain continuous commercial relationship with suppliers to secure best-in-class partnerships.
• Conduct the procurement process to fulfil business needs and provide internal customers with valued services in compliance with guidelines.
• Deliver on initiatives contributing to Savings Programmes through requirements harmonisation/standardisation, and volume aggregation.
• Provide input to support strategy development with internal customers, suppliers, and budgets.

As the Building and Construction Buyer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. • Implementing the procurement strategy defined by the Commodity Procurement Management and the Projects Multi-Functional-Teams (MFT) within the scope of activity
• Manage procurement projects and call for tenders with multi-divisional scope within the scope of the Building & Construction Team and international scope on demand
• Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain capable to deliver goods/services
• Ensure that deliverables are in line with the contractual terms (cost, time, quality)
• Secure long-term alignment of the preferred supplier base with the long-term trans-divisional strategic needs
• Ensure continuous commercial relationship with suppliers in order to secure work with best-in-class suppliers and protect from contractual risks
• Conduct the procurement process in order to fulfil business needs and provide the internal customers with valued services in compliance with the General Procurement procedures and guidelines
• Deliver on initiatives contributing to Savings Programmes using the levers of requirements harmonisation/standardisation, challenge of the specifications, volume aggregation, and control of the demand
