Builder's Merchant Warehouse Driver/Operative | Birmingham | Full Time | £26,970-£29,205 per annum, depending on role, shift choice & experience

Our client, an independent builders' merchant located in Stirchley, Birmingham, is seeking to expand their warehouse team due to recent growth and ongoing plans for future development. This is a hands-on, varied role within a close-knit team that works hard and takes pride in what they do.

This role would be ideal for individuals currently working in a warehouse, yard, plumbers' merchants, retail stores, driving roles, multi-drop drivers, pickers, packers, trade counter assistants, or anyone with a passion for customer service and the building industry.

Please note – This is a full-time role, based both on our site and out driving our vehicles.

Candidate Requirements

• Customer-focused – providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally
• Over 25 years of age (insurance requirement)
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience driving longer vans (up to 6m / 20ft beds)
• Experience working in busy environments and handling goods
• Knowledge of building materials (preferred but not essential)
• Great team player
• Proven record of Counterbalance FLT driving (preferred but not essential)

Role Responsibilities

• Performing multi-drop deliveries
• Picking goods for customers
• Using IT systems to check and modify orders
• Checking orders and inbound stock
• Driving forklifts
• Stock counting
• Site maintenance
• Additional tasks as needed; no two days are alike
