Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced build engineer to join the Airband team. The Build Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of complex build and installation projects. This role ensures that all systems and infrastructure are built to meet stringent specifications and industry best practices, delivering high-quality and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete works on the overhead and underground Airband/BTOR/JUP networks.
  2. Accurately report progress to management.
  3. Communicate issues identified on site and propose solutions.
  4. Report and escalate to management as required.
  5. Maintain a professional and tidy site, ensuring that customers/residents are communicated with politely.
  6. Conduct daily checks of vehicles in line with the Airband Transport Policy.
  7. Conduct daily checks of plant machinery and tools, ensuring they are safe to use and, where applicable, carry valid calibration certificates.
  8. Complete site-specific risk assessments.
  9. Follow all Health and Safety guidelines and ensure awareness of hazards and risks.
  10. Ensure all work activity complies with environmental regulations, maintaining a clean environment.
  11. Complete and update all appropriate paperwork for daily work on job sheets, risk assessments, plant sheets, and vehicle sheets.
Key Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience working on the Airband and BTOR networks.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and deliver planned works.
  • Proactive in resolving engineering obstacles with supervisor approval.
  • Flexibility to undertake works outside core hours.
  • Experience in completing risk assessments and hazard identification.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and email use.
