Job summary

Cellnex Telecom is seeking an experienced professional to lead macro site build delivery (Trackside DAS) and manage complex projects through build phases. You will coordinate with the new site acquisition lead to align the programme and manage third-party suppliers for design, construction, fibre and power within agreed timescales and budgets.

• Extensive design and build experience in telecoms infrastructure rollout.

Responsibilities

• Influence supplier optimisation to maximise asset and revenue while coordinating with stakeholders.

• Manage scope changes and report risks/issues to the Programme Manager.
• Operate within the NEC contract framework.
• Work on site construction near railway environments with Network Rail procedures.

• Review Designer Risk Assessments and ensure plans are in place for works on sites.
• Review site-specific construction phase plans and RAMS.
• Understand multiple operator design guides.
• Provide performance management of nominated supply chain partners.

Job description

The role

Are you experienced with brand new macro site build delivery (Trackside DAS) and looking for your next role, one in which you will implement and deliver complex projects through the build phases.

You will be working closely with the new site acquisition lead to align the build delivery by flexibly resolving and designing the programme of works scope. There will be a responsibility for management of all third-party suppliers for design, construction, including fibre and power to deliver projects to agreed timescales and budget specification as agreed with internal and external stakeholders.

This is an urgent short term contract role to run through to the end of this year initially.

This is a hybrid position based at one of our welcoming offices in Reading or Leamington, with a minimum 3 days either in the office or working on site between London and Brighton and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Influential in optimising the allocated suppliers to maximise the asset and revenue working with stakeholders to maintain a holistic view.
• Develop relationships with the allocated supply partners both face to face and via Teams meetings
• Track and report on project deliverables
• Use defined Cellnex processes to manage changes to scope and report on risks/issues to the Programme Manager for resolution.
• Working within the New Engineering Contract 3 (NEC) contract framework.
• Working on construction of sites close to the railway with adherence to Network Rail processes and procedures
• Undertaking client duties/responsibilities within the Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
• Designer Risk Assessments: Reviewing and ensuring these are submitted and in place for any works taking place on sites.
• Reviewing of site-specific construction phase plans/RAMS.
• Establish an understanding of multiple operator design guides
• Performance management of nominated supply chain partners.

Experience

• Demonstrable design and build experience within the telecoms arena especially new infrastructure rollout.
• Network Rail construction experience.
• Telco rigging experience
• Experience of working on construction projects near railway infrastructure.
• TDAS experience.
• Experience or knowledge of using Open Reach PIA infrastructure to deliver Fibre to sites
