Job summary

IT WORLD LIMITED is seeking a specialist for a technical Maximo Upgrade and Migration programme in the Aerospace & Defence sector. The project involves upgrading Maximo 7.6 on Oracle to MAS 9.x on DB2 in Azure Cloud, with a like-for-like design remediations.

The role requires SC clearance (or ability to obtain it) and offers hybrid working with 1-2 days on-site in Derby. The contract runs from 12 October 2026 to 21 May 2027 (eight months).

• Maximo Upgrade and Migration (Lift & Shift) project in aerospace/defence.
• Technical upgrade and database migration from Oracle to MAS 9.x on DB2 in Azure Cloud.

Job description

This project is a technical-focused Maximo upgrade and migration programme within the Aerospace & Defence sector.

Technical: This is a Maximo Upgrade + Migration (Lift & Shift) Project

Technical upgrade and database migration of Client's current Maximo 7.6 on Oracle database to MAS 9.x on DB2 database in Azure Cloud

These activities will be a technical 'like for like' upgrade and migration of the current Maximo designs into MAS 9.x, including changes required due to the upgrade and necessary remediations

The start date is 12th October 2026, and the end date is 21st May 2027 (8 months)

Additional Information

SC clearance (or ability to achieve) is a necessity for each resource. e.g 5 years in UK

Hybrid roles- 1-2 days per week onsite in Derby. Expenses will be covered by client
