About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate leader to join us at our Bognor Regis Resort as a Venue Manager in the Buffets department. In this role, you will be essential in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, overseeing a team responsible for breakfast and dinner services in our self-service restaurants during their holiday.
You should enjoy developing people and be committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences by nurturing, training, and coaching your team in a lively environment. Leading by example, you will drive standards, ensuring all brand standards and Butlin’s way of working are met.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will thrive in a busy setting, maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness. You will ensure brand standards are consistently met while being guest-focused and operating efficiently. The role involves analyzing KPIs, facilitating team training, and adhering to food safety and health & safety policies.
You should be passionate about inspiring your team, supporting their development through regular 121s and PDPs, and fostering a fulfilling work environment. Flexibility is key, as no two days are the same, and you will need to think on your feet to prioritize guest satisfaction.
Typical hours are 40 per week, spread over 5 days within a 7-day week, with shifts between 7am and 9pm, including weekends, bank holidays, and Christmas.
About You
You should have prior experience in volume catering or a food environment, with strong guest-facing skills, including handling queries and complaints. Passion for leading and developing a team, supporting through coaching and regular feedback, is essential.
You should be experienced in managing rotas based on fluctuating guest numbers, working with multi-skilled teams, and leading teams to success through performance management, training, and role modeling. Adaptability and problem-solving skills are crucial for managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
