St. Laurence College seeks a Budget and Financial Analyst to support budget preparation and financial reporting. The role involves significant analysis and training in budgeting software. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in financial analysis with a relevant educational background, alongside advanced Excel skills.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Budgets and Planning, the Budget and Financial Analyst acts as a resource and advisor to managers and College staff in the process of budget preparation, analysis and interpretation of financial results and completes various elements of the budgeting and forecasting processes. The Budget and Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing various types of variance analysis, financial analysis and internal and external reporting. In addition, provides support, guidance, training and solutions for budgeting and finance software.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A minimum of a 3-year diploma or degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or another field of study relevant to the duties of the position.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience developing multi-divisional budgets and performing financial analysis using complex financial systems.
