Due to growth, we are recruiting a Business Unit Technical Manager for our Data Centre division supporting multiple accounts and sites across London and surrounding areas.


Applicants should have a proven track record in mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering, excellent interpersonal skills, and be electrically qualified with experience in Data Centre environments.


Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure critical facilities operate to high standards
  • Act as Senior Authorized Person for HV
  • Perform root cause analysis and post-fault reviews
  • Conduct scenario and drill training with engineering staff
  • Interface with clients to ensure satisfaction and understanding of systems
  • Carry out routine maintenance to meet and exceed SLAs
  • Plan and execute plant/system shutdowns and long-term works
  • Manage reactive repairs safely and promptly
  • Supervise sub-contractors, including pricing and quoting
  • Work with permit manager to ensure proper controls
  • Maintain availability of spares and materials
  • Keep comprehensive maintenance records
  • Support statutory compliance and record-keeping for quality management
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments for tasks
  • Supervise engineering subcontractors and ensure compliance
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with policies and client requirements
