Job summary

Indigo Telecom Group seeks 2-3 experienced BTS Installation & Commissioning Engineers for a major nationwide DICI deployment. Roles are ad hoc across the UK with base locations in London and Manchester or surrounding areas.

You will install Nokia BTS equipment, perform commissioning, testing, and deliver HOPs/SARPs on-site. Candidates should have proven Nokia BTS deployment experience and familiarity with BT/EE standards, working independently while upholding high safety and quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience installing and commissioning Nokia BTS equipment.
Previous experience working on BT/EE mobile network projects.
Strong understanding of BTS installation, commissioning and testing processes.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Installing and commissioning Nokia BTS equipment, including GPS antennas, RF jumpers, indoor cabinets, baseband modules, RRHs/RFM and wiring.
Carrying out testing and completing commissioning documentation, reports and checklists.
Installing and testing BTS-to-BTS Breakout Box (BOB) or ground-level RRU cabling up to 10 metres, ensuring proper labelling.
Safely removing legacy equipment and disconnecting power and transmission cabling.
Installing indoor, outdoor and street works cabinets and accessories.
Identifying and managing pre-existing external alarms per Nokia and BT/EE procedures.
Reporting site defects through OSDS and escalating to back-office when required.
Completing site call testing per customer processes.
Producing and submitting Hand Over Packs (HOPs/SARPs) to SLA requirements and uploading to Indigo SharePoint.
