Job summary

The role welcomes qualified teachers or experienced sports coaches with a proven youth coaching background. Location is Lichfield, with salary dependent on experience (£140 - £233).

Qualifications

• Strong background in sports coaching or teaching with a focus on BTEC Sport.
• Ideally, a qualified teacher status, though we welcome applications from experienced sports coaches with youth coaching experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of students.
• Ability to translate complex sports theory into accessible material for students of varying skill levels.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and fostering a positive sports culture.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality BTEC Sport lessons to students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic achievement.
• Manage classroom and sports hall environments to ensure a safe, inclusive learning experience.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students, helping them reach their full potential in both theoretical and practical sport components.
• Collaborate with department staff to refine curriculum delivery and maintain high standards of teaching.
