BSL Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – Immediate Start

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a secondary school student in Coventry with communication difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a young person's educational journey.

  • Role: BSL Teaching Assistant (1:1 basis)
  • Location: Secondary school in Coventry
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Contract: Full-time, term-time only
About the Role:

You’ll be working closely with a student who requires specialised communication support to fully access the curriculum and school life. Your role will involve assisting with learning activities, supporting emotional well-being, and facilitating communication in and out of the classroom.

We are looking for candidates who have:
  • Experience using British Sign Language (BSL) or relevant communication support techniques
  • Previous experience working with young people with communication needs (preferred)
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • A strong commitment to inclusive education and student development
