There is an exciting opportunity to secure a 1-year contract at an ‘Outstanding’ two-form entry Mainstream Primary School based in Banbury. This is a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant position to work with a child in a Year 4 (KS2) class who is deaf. The role requires someone with BSL Level 2 training, and experience in a similar role would be ideal. The position is available to start in Banbury.
The school would ideally like to meet candidates who have a degree and some experience working with Special Educational Needs, such as Autism, ADHD, or dyslexia. Responsibilities will include supporting children with various needs, including ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, global delay, SEMH, physical, and behavioral challenges. The role involves working on a 1:1 basis with a hearing-impaired child.
Minimum standards include GCSEs in Maths and English graded C or above.
