BSL Level 2 Teaching Assistants - Multiple Roles Available
Location: Swale, Kent
Contract: Long-term Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: £90 - £100 per day
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a dedicated and compassionate BSL Level 2 Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of young people with communication needs? We are currently recruiting for multiple positions across a number of specialist SEN schools in Swale, supporting children and young people with speech, language, and communication difficulties.

About the Roles:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex communication needs

Use British Sign Language (Level 2 or above) to facilitate learning and engagement

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff in specialist settings

Contribute to students' personal, emotional, and academic development

Support children and young people aged 4-19, including with personal care if required

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting students with SEND, particularly those with speech and language or profound communication difficulties

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Willingness to travel up to an hour to school locations within Swale

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK

Experience in SEN settings or working with children with additional needs

Willingness to assist with personal care (toileting/feeding) if required

Enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
