Position: BSL (British Sign Language) Teacher

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full Time, Ongoing

A vibrant and inclusive school based in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and qualified BSL Teacher to join their team full-time from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator with a strong background in British Sign Language and classroom teaching to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

As a consultant working closely with this welcoming and supportive school, I am looking for Teachers who are enthusiastic, committed and able to deliver high-quality teaching to students with hearing impairments or who use BSL as their primary means of communication. You will be teaching students from EYFS - KS2.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* A recognised qualification in British Sign Language (minimum Level 3, ideally Level 6)

* Proven experience teaching in a school setting

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs

The Role:

* Deliver engaging, tailored lessons using BSL

* Support students with hearing impairments across a range of subjects and age groups

* Work closely with other staff and support services to ensure a cohesive learning environment

* Promote an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere
