A vibrant and inclusive school based in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and qualified BSL Teacher to join their team full-time from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator with a strong background in British Sign Language and classroom teaching to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

As a consultant working closely with this welcoming and supportive school, I am looking for Teachers who are enthusiastic, committed and able to deliver high-quality teaching to students with hearing impairments or who use BSL as their primary means of communication. You will be teaching students from EYFS - KS2.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A recognised qualification in British Sign Language (minimum Level 3, ideally Level 6)
  • Proven experience teaching in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs

The Role:

  • Support students with hearing impairments across a range of subjects and age groups
  • Work closely with other staff and support services to ensure a cohesive learning environment
  • Promote an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere
