Job summary

Academics in Greenwich, London, is seeking an Educational Teaching Assistant (Level 2 BSL) to join a supportive secondary school on a temporary-to-permanent basis. ASAP start, with a view to permanent placement.

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils reach their potential, with safeguarding responsibilities and strong teamwork as core requirements. Contract is full-time, Monday–Friday, at £95-£100 per day.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 BSL qualification.
• Previous experience as an Educational Teaching Assistant (Level 2 BSL) is desirable.
• Experience supporting students with communication needs is advantageous.
• Passion for working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support in the classroom.
• Assist students to reach their full potential and participate in activities.
• Support teaching staff with classroom duties and safeguarding practices.
