Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Broking team at Marshmercial. This role will be based in the Manchester office. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

The role: Broking Manager - Marshmercial - Manchester

We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Broking Manager in our Manchester office. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships, developing strategic partnerships with clients, colleagues, and insurance carriers. You will also act as a technical expert for internal teams and clients regarding insurance placement.

You will be responsible for broking activities across 6 offices in the North West & Cumbria, managing a diverse portfolio of clients with bespoke insurance arrangements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining relationships with insurers and clients, negotiating favorable terms, and delivering excellent service
• Providing advice and technical expertise to internal teams
• Recommending placement strategies, market conditions, and occasionally presenting to clients
• Documenting quotations and advising the Client Servicing team of conditions
• Attending meetings with clients and insurers
• Seeking feedback from insurers to improve service quality
• Contributing to risk management strategies
• Staying informed on market changes and ensuring compliance with standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial insurance broking or underwriting
• Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple inquiries
• Understanding of clients' business issues and insurance needs
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confidence in advising and negotiating
• Ability to build and develop relationships

Preferred qualifications:

• Client-facing experience and ability to work under pressure
• Cert CII qualification; working towards ACII is desirable
