About Us:

Adult Social Care in Westminster City Council is a world of extraordinary stories, where our passionate, caring, and committed professionals do brilliant work every day.

For example, Mrs D was frail and unwell. Her son was her main carer but wasn't coping. We stepped in to help, gaining trust and arranging care and support so Mrs D could return home to live with her son, including providing respite and a personal budget for Mr D.

The Role:

As a Bi-Borough Brokerage Team Manager, you will lead a frontline team supporting Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Your responsibilities include facilitating timely, person-centred support packages, ensuring value for money, managing risks, and compliance with relevant legislation.

You will collaborate with social care teams, providers, and partners to ensure needs are at the heart of support planning. You will supervise sourcing of provision, manage risks, and lead performance and development initiatives within your team.

Your duties also involve managing data flows, generating reports, supporting a frontline advice line, sharing intelligence for decision-making, and ensuring accurate financial processes.

You will champion a safe, inclusive, and responsive working environment, upholding policies on health and safety, data protection, and equality. Building effective relationships across departments and agencies is essential.

About You:

Significant experience in Adult Social Care, managing multidisciplinary teams, and a thorough understanding of Home Care, Residential, and Nursing services is required. Knowledge of legislative frameworks like the Care Act 2014 and the Health and Care Act 2022 is essential.

You should have strong stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and IT literacy to analyze data and generate reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.

We support Care Leavers into employment, and applications from underrepresented groups, especially from the Global Majority, are encouraged. We use positive action provisions under the Equality Act 2010 to promote diversity.

What We Offer:

Westminster is a vibrant city with a diverse community and a rich history. We aim to build a Fairer Westminster through community engagement and inclusive policies.

Our workplace values diversity and inclusion, offering flexible and agile working arrangements. We are a Disability Confident Employer, guaranteeing interviews for candidates with disabilities who meet the essential criteria.

We are committed to increasing workforce diversity and welcome applications from all backgrounds.

Extraordinary Stories of Our Colleagues:

Our staff are dedicated and bring their full selves to work. For example, Daphne advocates for colleagues with learning difficulties, and Shofa supports youth entrepreneurship inspired by personal loss. Their stories exemplify our commitment to community and inclusion.
