Job Title: Broker Support Specialist

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Plymouth

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We're currently looking for a Broker Support Specialist to join Royal London's Responsible Equity Release business in Plymouth.

As a Broker Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting brokers through the application process for later-life lending products. This role focuses on enabling brokers to deliver the best possible outcomes for their clients.

You'll be the first point of contact for brokers, handling inbound queries via phone and email, and guiding them through the various stages of the equity release journey.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a background in customer service or telephone-based business to business roles. We're looking for driven individuals with a passion for customer experience and a talent for building rapport over the phone.

About the role

  • Supporting brokers throughout the application process for equity release products.
  • Handling inbound queries via phone and email, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Assisting with pre-application decisions and property assessments.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and occasionally representing Royal London in lender clinics and meetings.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying trends and sharing insights.

About you

  • Proven experience in telephone-based sales, business development, or customer service.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, target-driven mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and a solution-driven mindset.
  • Ability to build relationships across multiple channels.
  • Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Experience in a regulated or financial services environment preferrable but not essential
  • Background in residential mortgages, underwriting, or telephone-based BDM roles is highly desirable.
